When you are in a group of girlfriends it is only a matter of time before the ultimate question is asked.
Are you a Carrie, Samantha, Miranda, or Charlotte?
This might be overly generalized, but this happened in no less than three separate friend groups that I am in. There are several unique situations in which the question arises. It can be a Friday night and you’re all binging on pizza and Netflix. Or you’re out on the town, walking down the street in a perfectly synchronized line. Or, you know, one of your friends exhibits loose morals.
She’s so our Samantha!
I’m always Charlotte and I take that categorization with pride. There’s a lot to admire in Charlotte. She’s optimistic – almost to a fault – and knows how to rock a sweater set. She’s also fiercely loyal to her friends but not afraid to tell them when she completely disagrees with what they are doing or saying. I could do a lot worse than Charlotte York Goldenblatt.
I like to think these sweet potato chips are something Charlotte would whip up on the weekend for Harry. They’re quick and nutritious, and look absolutely divine on a table. I have a deep love affair with salt and vinegar flavored chips, and these did not disappoint! They definitely aren’t as heavy on the flavor as their fried counterpart, but for a healthy alternative they were just perfect.
Salt & Vinegar Sweet Potato Chips
Ingredients:
2-3 sweet potatoes, peeled
1/2 cup malt vinegar
salt
Directions
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Prepare two baking sheets.
Thinly slice the sweet potatoes potatoes. Put the potatoes in a large ziploc bag with the malt vinegar and a healthy dose of salt. Give it a good shake and then let sit for 10-15 minutes.
Place the potatoes in a single layer on the baking sheets. Bake for 10-15 minutes. Flip them over, sprinkle with more salt, and bake for another 10-15 minutes.

The perfect snack! ! I love the store bought version, so why not at home?!
They’re crazy easy to make and probably healthier, too!!
I love salt & vinegar chips AND sweet potato chips so these just sound like an all around winner to me! 🙂
They were pretty tasty!!!!
Why can’t I be a Charlotte? I always get Miranda lol! But love them all! These chips look amazing!! I want a whole bag 🙂
There’s no shame in being a Miranda!!! She’d hard working, feisty, and rocks a suit like no other!
I like Charlotte too! And those chips look great. Love recipes with just a few ingredients.
Thank you!!!
Girl, these chips sound delish!
Thank you!!
I totally don’t know if it’ll let me comment again, BUT I just had to come back and tell you that I made these and they were absolutely PERFECT!!!!
So glad!!!!

Choc Chip Uru
Me too!! But these are chips you can feel GOOD about plowing through!!
SATC will always be my most favorite tv show. Ever. Followed only by Gilmore Girls. And maybe Dawson’s Creek. Sigh. The golden days of television.
THESE CHIPS. Salt and vinegar are definitely much better as sweet potato chips. I can tell.
You have fantastic taste in television. So glad we found each other’s blogs 😀
These aren’t quite as IN YOUR FACE salt-and-vinegary as the fried counterpart but they’re a good alternative. Plus, when you eat the entire batch in one sitting you don’t feel gross afterwards!
I am completely obsessed with salt & vinegar chips, but I’ve never had a sweet potato version. These sound so great!
You should try them!!!
Salt and Vinegar potato chips are my favorite! I love that these are made with sweet potatoes–they sound so good!
They definitely were delicious! I might have eaten the entire batch in one sitting…;)
This will become my new favorite snack. Thanks Liz!
I definitely enjoyed my batch!! I hope you enjoy yours, too 🙂
These look amazing! Bookmarking the recipe to try out soon!
I hope you enjoy them!
I would totally be Charlotte, and my best friend is so Miranda. She also happens to LOVE salt and vinegar chips. Definitely making this healthier version for her!
Charlottes unite! lol I hope your friend enjoys the chips!!!!
I’m a slightly less optimistic Charlotte…mostly because of my very conservative nature. 🙂
It’s probably GOOD to be less optimistic than Char. Sometimes her head is a bit too up in the clouds. But, of course, we love her anyway!
Thanks for stopping by! It’s also nice to see a comment from you!
